Dumbo, or “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass”, brings Manhattan visitors into classic and vibrant Brooklyn where the hustle does not stop. Start-ups and new small businesses thrive along the nifty cobblestone streets, transforming the neighborhood around them. Eighteenth century industrial buildings transitioned into busy offices, art studios, cafes, and restaurants galore that embody Brooklyn’s old-school culture with modern class. The metropolitan skyline waterfront blends into a cool contemporary village full of beautifully diverse New Yorkers. Local chefs and artists show off NYC’s flavor in the various food truck flea markets and art festivals that take place under the famous Dumbo archway throughout the year. The area still very much feels isolated and peaceful despite some heavy foot traffic on the weekends. The housing market is just as diverse as its neighborhood as spacious historical lofts criss-cross sleek modern high-rises, all of which are equally alluring.
