Just across the East River, Long Island City is the perfect escape away from the city crowd but close enough to access its convenience. Sleek luxurious high-rises border Gantry Plaza State Park, facing the stunning Manhattan skyline. More classic style homes can be found a few blocks inland with a more under-the-radar feel and modern charm. LIC used to be an industrial sector but it has since transformed into an energetic and welcoming part of Queens that envelopes New York’s eccentric feel and cultural diversity. Old factories make way for new local green spaces, parks, and shops that are continuously upgrading. Busy New Yorkers fill stylish local cafes, pubs, and newly renovated sports fields  giving the town a “get-out-there” energy. In the summertime, an abundance of musicians and artists feature their work in public festivals and park movie nights that are fun for the young professional residents and new families alike. With Queens comfort and Manhattan attitude, Long Island City embodies New York’s cool and cultivated atmosphere where its residents make a perfect fit.
